What is Supplies 4
Success?
Supplies 4 Success
is a coordinated volunteer effort to provide school supplies and winter
outerwear (coat, boots, snow pants, hat, gloves) to children in need who attend Glen Ellyn School District 41 and Community
Consolidated School District 89 for the 2010-2011 school year.
How many kids need
school supplies and winter outerwear?
There are over 500
children from low-income and/or homeless families attending schools in Glen
Ellyn. There are also an unknown number of families who are experiencing
temporary difficulties due to the economy.
Who is sponsoring
Supplies 4 Success?

41 PTA Community Outreach Committee

41 PTA
- District
89 PTO and administration
- Glen Ellyn
Chamber of Commerce
- The Partnership
For Educational Progress (PEP) Foundation
Do the school districts have money for school supplies?
Yes, but it is not
enough to adequately supply all children in need.
How does Supplies
4 Success work?
We raise funds by approaching local businesses,
religious organizations, charitable/civic organizations, and residents in the
five communities served by District 41 and 89 for donations.
Funds are used to
purchase pre-packaged school supplies kits as well as supplemental items not
included in the kits. We may also purchase and provide winter outerwear for
needy students as funds permit.
How can I help
Supplies 4 Success?

awareness about the need. Many people don't realize how many needy families
live in our community.
- Help get
the word out about the campaign.
- Donate!
